Dear Soccer Parent,
The Manistee Soccer Club is currently holding registration for our Fall 2009 season. Manistee Soccer Club is NOT affiliated with the Manistee Recreation Association or Manistee Area Public Schools. Therefore, registration is open to boys and girls ages 8-19 (3rd – 12th grade), in Manistee County, regardless of the school in which they attend. We are an independent club brought together by parents who wish to see our community children continue to grow in the sport of soccer.
Our hope as a soccer club is to provide a soccer program that becomes a bridge for players between the Manistee Recreation Association, a development program, and the high performance of a high school soccer program within our community. We encourage high school athletes to join us during their respective off seasons to keep their soccer skills sharp. We would like to provide a safe, fun, and high quality experience for our soccer participants.
The Manistee Soccer Club season consists of a 6 week season with a tournament at the end of regular season play. Games will generally be played on Saturday with one game per day. Because Manistee Soccer Club consists of “traveling teams”, three of these games will be played at home in Manistee and the other three games will be played away (somewhere between Manistee and the Muskegon Area). The tournament consists of three games over a two week period, with the Championship and Consolation games to follow. Tournament schedules are not made available until approximately the fifth week of the regular season. If a player is unable to find a ride to a game, they should contact their coach and arrangements will be made. Many times the players and parents choose to car pool to a destination. If you are unsure of the location of a game, contact your coach and they will be able to help you find the correct information.
